bethandron > . . . took the first steps on a long journey together. We left Chung Chi College, the Chinese University of Hon Kong, where Ron was a "tutor" and Beth was completing her junior year abroad.
bethandron > Every wedding needs a budget, and Beth was just the person to prepare one! Don't forgret the sampans! And for heaven's sake, don't forget the potato chips. (In 1968 the Hong Kong dollar was worth 1/6 of a U.S. dollar; Ron's salary was about HK$ 800/month.)
bethandron > And every wedding needs a guest list, not to mention potato chips.
bethandron > Our friends took pictures and shared them with is. (This is Marriott with her beloved Minolta.) They saw us at different angles, through different lenses, and the pictures have faded in various idiosyncratic ways over the last 40 years. That’s how memory is.
